Sarah “SK” Yi is a recent graduate of University of Tennessee where she earned a BFA in sculpture. Among her studies, she explored sewing, knitting and textile work. While 3D presentation was her ultimate goal, painting and drawing has always been at the root of her practice. She is inspired by contemporary Asian art, culture and aesthetics as a source of beauty, comfort, and familiarity. The newest full-time member of the LRA team, SK creates her paintings by translating colour and value into line and form. The result is a unique presentation of rich color and imaginative composition.
