This Is Us

Tom and Jennifer Cover, Owners

Thomas Cover

Founder/Owner

Tom built the LRA business on the foundation that beautifully appointed homes deserve walls that feature the finest art that is also affordable and made by artists in America. An artist himself, his dual objectives have always been to connect talented, working artists with enthusiastic buyers. Through this vision, and his dedication, Tom has helped several talented artists build successful careers.

Jennifer Cover "J. Austin Jennings"

Artis and Co-owner

J. Austin Jennings is not only a leading contemporary artist but also the co-owner of Little River Art, a Knoxville-based, family-run art business established in 2004 by Tom Cover. Jennings joined the team in 2013, bringing with her a decade of experience in painting and a deep passion for nature-inspired, atmospheric works. Her signature style blends transparencies, layered textures, and symbolic imagery as well as poetic titles. Now at the helm of LRA alongside her husband Tom, Jennings plays a vital role in shaping the studio’s creative direction and nurturing its community of local artists.

Ben O' Neill

Photographer and Print Manager

Raised in Southwest Ohio, Ben moved to Nashville to study Audio Engineering at Belmont University. His technical skills lent themselves equally well to photography and digital imaging upon his joining the family art business in Knoxville, TN. With his mom (J Austin Jennings) he owns Red Dog Master Prints, LRA’s sister company and print division. Ben is Manager of Prints & Archiving for LRA. Outside of work, Ben is a talented musician, who enjoys playing drums and collaborating with musician friends and family.

Reem Arnouk

Gallery Sales & Client Specialist

During work hours she is a strategic business woman, who is consistently elevating the environment here at Little River Art. On her off days, she is an artist with many pursuits of passion. Reem Arnouk is our Gallery Sales Specialist. Arnouk is constantly curating lasting relationships with clients. She obtained a B.S. in Entrepreneurship and Business Management from an esteemed college here in the United States. Every day, Reem brings a flare of energy to our company with her vivacious personality. We are happy to have her on the team!

Aleksandr Cherepov

Oil Painter & Frame shop Specialist

Aleksandr Cherepov is a vital member of the Little River Art team, serving as both a talented oil painter and an integral role as custom frame creator. Known for his traditional oil paintings, Aleksandr brings the same precision and artistry to framing, stretching canvas, and preparing artwork for clients. His attention to detail ensures that every piece is beautifully finished and ready to find its forever home. Beyond the studio, Aleksandr continues to create within his home studio. Additionally Alex provides the unique, demanding service of art restoration, often bringing valuable antique pieces back to glorious life. His presence at LRA reflects a rare blend of craftsmanship, creativity, and loyalty.

Carl Wilkinson

Contemporary Painter & General Production Assistant

After a short hiatus, we are happy to have Carl Wilkinson back on board the Little River Art train. Working closely with patriarch Tom Cover, Carl has blossomed into a wonderful contemporary painter bringing with him a fresh perspective and a versatile skill set. In addition to creating expressive, modern works, Carl wears many hats in the studio—assisting in the frame shop, stretching canvases, and ensuring artwork is expertly delivered and installed in clients' homes. His hands-on approach and dedication to every aspect of the creative process make him an invaluable part of our team. Whether he’s working behind the easel or behind the saw Carl’s passion for art and commitment to quality shine through in everything he does.

Annie

Aesthetics Director

Annie sometimes works the front at LRA, greeting customers. She enjoys batting her white eyelashes, deftly maneuvering herself into arms and hearts and eating stolen pizza. She loves to be told just how beautiful she is.

Reuben "Roo"

Roving Adventurer

Roo enjoys traveling in his Jeep Wrangler, sleeping on his back and getting ALL the treats. He is often called upon to be a model for paintings and drawings which can be purchased in our gallery.

Georgie O'Keeffe

Happiness Engineer

Georgie is in charge of happiness and smiles at LRA. She spreads joy at lightning speed (especially when she escapes from behind the gate). Hobbies include playing fetch, sitting in laps and sharing smiles with the people she loves.

Rembrandt Van Little River "Remy"

Assistant Paper & Canvas Manager

Remy is fairly new to the team, having arrived in September ’23. He shows great aptitude at handling canvas, shredding paper and trimming edges of paper rolls. Hobbies include running with plastic plant containers, playing tug and wrestling with his big sister Annie.
