Growing up in Colorado, Kristine VanderSchaaff developed a love for drawing at an early age. Kristine’s education in Fine Art, completed after a move to Dayton, OH helped her hone her craft, specializing in drawing, painting and color theory. Her expertise in color led her to an early career in the pioneering field of color printers.

Though experienced in acrylic, pen & ink & alcohol ink, Kristine considers herself a mixed media artist, as she is often pushing the envelope by experimenting in mixing various media together in new and interesting combinations. Her incredibly detailed alcohol ink botanicals are proof that she has harnessed beautiful control over a difficult medium.
